We are delighted to welcome Julian Withers to speak to us about the Brandon Trust. (Postponed from January)
About Brandon Trust:
Founded in 1994 in Bristol, Brandon Trust now supports in excess of 1500 people with learning disabilities and autism across the South of England. Services range from light-touch support at home through to supported accommodation, day centres and full residential accommodation. In addition, across the Greater Bristol Area, we operate social enterprises such as Elm Tree Farm, Grimsbury and Vassels Cafés, Grounds and Gardens projects as well as Enterprise Packaging and Banwell Pottery. At the root of everything we do is the passion to ensure that people with learning disabilities and autism can live the way they choose.
Julian Withers, our speaker, says of himself:
Following a 12 year career in the theatre industry, I have worked in the charity sector for 18 years – with Penny Brohn Cancer Care, West of England MS Therapy Centre, latterly Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home and now Brandon Trust. I have been a member of Rotary Club of Bristol Breakfast since 2004 and live in Bristol with my wife and two teenage children.
