We are delighted to welcome Fiona Franklin to speak to us about the work of the Children's Air Ambulance.
Fiona describes the service:
The Children’s Air Ambulance is a unique service, flying critically ill babies and children to hospital for specialist care in the only dedicated neo-natal and paediatric helicopter emergency transfer, working alongside the flying NHS intensive care teams.
The children’s hospital in Bristol is one of the specialist units we transfer children to from all over the Southwest and Wales.
We receive no government funding; we rely solely on the generosity of the general public and businesses to keep us in the air and flying to save lives.
