A good turnout for our first speaker meeting via Zoom. Thanks to Barbara and Andy Thatcher for updating us on what is happening at the Lido. It was also good to welcome D.G. Judy Powell to share some of what is happening at District level.
The club has made a donation of £500 to Ebenezer Clinic in eSwatini (Swaziland) this week (via Vula Amehlo Trust). Charities are struggling in the UK and across the world, that is why today we have donated £1,500 (£500 each) to Jessie May Trust, St Peters Hospice and Ebenezer Clinic in eSwatini (Swaziland).

Local author and illustrator, Debbie Brookes, shared with us how she took her book from concept to writing and eventual self-publishing. Our Christmas Celebration Breakfast was last Thursday morning at The Poacher in Portishead. Members performed their festive party pieces and charity donation cheques were presented to Jessie May Trust and St. Peter's Hospice.
Gordano Breakfast Rotary Club joined Santa at Portishead Children's Centre to provide a party lunch for local children.

An excellent evening with Westbury Park Orchestra, The North Somerset Good Afternoon Choir and, guest soloist, Verity Huntley. Our conductor was Ben England.
