The Final for the Area Young Musicians took place at Redmaids School last Friday organised by the 11 Rotary Clubs in the Avon and one club from the Gloucester Area. From the three heats during the autumn, of the 24 initial contestants, three heat winners and three runners up went on to the final. We are delighted to say that we had two contestants from our local Gordano School. One, Lucas Faram, went forward to the final. Lucas attained second place from the six finalists on Friday playing the Marimba - a bit like an oversized xylophone.

Three of our members helped with stewarding on the night and two members were involved with promotion and ticketing for the event.
